Julianna is a newspaper reporter for the Rivereast News Bulletin, where she writes local news and human interest stories about the towns of Colchester and Marlborough, CT. She is a graduate from Boston University, holding a master's degree in communication studies with a focus on digital media.
While completing her degree, she worked as editor-in-chief of BU's only student-run multimedia news site, The COMmunicator, assistant computer programmer for the BU Communications Department, and contributing writer for The Culture Trip, a digital platform for global culture stories.
Julianna also holds a B.A. in Journalism and Italian Studies from Miami University. Upon graduation, she worked her way up from past intern and part-time copy editor to associate editor of Cincy Magazine and NKY Magazine in Cincinnati, OH.
While Julianna has a huge passion for all types of storytelling, her heart lies with arts, culture and food writing. She holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and Italy, and in her spare time, she is constantly embracing her never-ending curiosity while traveling, learning about other cultures, cooking, and running.
